Mission

Our mission is to provide a camp site in a timbered mountain pasture setting for youth and outdoor educators that will:

  • give youth and educators a fun and educational outdoor camping experience, with special consideration to meeting the needs of economically and socially disadvantaged youth,
  • promote an understanding about balanced use, stewardship and inter-relationships of our natural resources, and
  • provide a support system and reinforcement to classroom education addressing outdoor education and our vast natural resources.

Vision

Our mission will be accomplished when camp users:

  • Experience first hand the sights and sounds of nature and the fun that derives from outdoor camping and recreation,
  • Learn to be more responsible citizens through team-building and personal development activities.
  • Learn how natural resources impact jobs, food, homes, and general economic growth.
  • Identify stewardship practices used by resource providers to manage renewable resources in a responsible and sustainable fashion.
  • Identify the impacts of pollution and how to use our natural resources in a responsible and conserving manner.
